Neil Gaiman’s Prime Video Fantasy Series Returns In July

Jun 7, 2023

What happens to those who stop the Apocalypse? Aziraphale and Crowley’s unusual exploits continue with Season 2 of “Good Omens.” Prime Video’s series from co-creator Neil Gaiman sees the pair moving on with life after averting disaster; this time, the pair of unlikely friends find themselves tasked with a startling mystery. Season 1 became a fan-favorite by branching out from the source material, “Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter” by Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. Its popularity was equally matched by critical acclaim as many reviewers cited outstanding performances by the lead actors.

Michael Sheen and David Tennant return as the otherworldly friends with very different perspectives. They are joined once again by Jon Hamm, Doon Mackichan, and Gloria Obianyo. Viewers will also notice more familiar faces from Season 1 as Miranda Richardson, Maggie Service, and Nina Sosanya take on new roles for the continuing story. This season features its fair share of newcomers to the series — with Liz Carr, Quelin Sepulveda, and Shelley Conn all added to the cast.
The series’ official season two synopsis:
“Season Two of “Good Omens” explores storylines that go beyond the original source material to illuminate the uncanny friendship between Aziraphale, a fussy angel and rare book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley. Having been on Earth since The Beginning, and with the Apocalypse thwarted, Aziraphale and Crowley are getting back to easy living amongst mortals in London’s Soho when an unexpected messenger presents a surprising mystery.”
Aziraphale and Crowley’s journey continues when Season 2 of “Good Omens” premieres. The six-episode season comes to Prime Video on July 28. Get your first look at the trailer below.
