The Flash CinemaCon Trailer Teases More of the DC Multiverse & Michael Keaton’s Batman
Aug 17, 2023
Superhero Barry Allen unleashes the DC multiverse in the latest look at The Flash. Coming courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures, a new trailer for The Flash has been unveiled as part of CinemaCon and teases more of the epic DC outing. Check out the newly released trailer for The Flash below.
The synopsis reads as follows:
“Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?”
Directed by Andy Muschietti from a screenplay by Christina Hodson, The Flash sees Justice League star Ezra Miller return to the role of Barry Allen aka The Flash. The rest of the cast includes Sasha Calle as Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora-Ul, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, and Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen.
Of course, that’s not all, with The Flash set to feature not one, but two Caped Crusaders…

The Flash Will Feature Both Ben Affleck & Michael Keaton as Batman
Warner Bros.
One of the most exciting elements of The Flash is the inclusion of two versions of The Dark Knight. Batman and Batman Returns star Michael Keaton will reprise the role of Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, after all these decades in The Flash, portraying an older, long-retired take on Gotham City’s protector. Somehow even more hardened than the billionaire superhero usually is, Keaton’s Bruce Wayne must decide whether he can become Batman again after this time in order to once again help save the world.
As for Affleck, he will return as the Snyder-Verse version of the character, and while his role in The Flash is expected to be small, the actor recently declared that he feels he finally “nailed” playing the comic book icon.
“The Justice League experience, the fact that those stories became somewhat repetitive to me and less interesting,” Affleck began. “Yeah, I did finally figure out how to play that character [Batman], and I nailed it in The Flash. For the five minutes I’m there, it’s really great. A lot of it’s just tone. You’ve got to figure out, what’s your version of the person? Who is the guy that fits what you can do? I tried to fit myself into a Batman. And by the way, I like a lot of the stuff we did, especially the first one [Batman v Superman].”
The Flash is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 16, 2023.
