‘Invincible’: Robert Kirkman Talks Casting Peter Cullen, Cliffhangers & More As Season 2 Comes To A Close [Interview]
Now creator Robert Kirkman hopes “Invincible” Season 2 Part 2 picks up where Part 1 left off critically. A third season of the animated season is already on the way from Amazon MGM Studios, but now it’s all about the hype: how much praise may critics heap on a single series? That’s a question to be answered when the final four episodes of “Invincible” Season 2 start premiering next month.
Here’s an official synopsis for “Invincible” Season 2 Part 2, courtesy of Prime Video:
Based on the groundbreaking comic book by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, the story revolves around 18-year-old Mark Grayson, who’s just like every other guy his age—except his father is (or was) the most powerful superhero on the planet. Still reeling from Nolan’s betrayal in Season One, Mark struggles to rebuild his life as he faces a host of new threats, all while battling his greatest fear – that he might become his father without even knowing it.
“Invincible” stars a voice cast that includes Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, J.K. Simmon, Grey DeLisle, Chris Diamontopoulos, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, and Jason Mantzoukas. Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, and Seth Rogen round out the main cast.
Executive producers on “Invincible” include Kirkman, David Alpert, Catherine Winder, Simon Racioppa, Margaret M. Dean, Rogen, and Evan Goldberg. Helen Leigh and Cory Walker also serve as co-executive producers.
The last four episodes of “Invincible” Season 2 premiere weekly on Prime Video starting on March 14. Watch a trailer for the last half of the all-new season below.
