After an odd summer release schedule, the fall is blazing with hot-ticket releases amidst the fall festival fervor. September promises an eclectic lineup while the Venice Film Festival, Telluride, the Toronto International Film Festival, and the New York Film Festival all premiere other must-adds to your watch list. September is delivering a dense lineup from long-awaited sequels to ’80s favorites to the return of a prominent director with his passion project to adaptations and body horror.

Among the releases are plenty of prior festival favorites, such as Demi Moore starring in “The Substance” and the Sundance hit “A Different Man.” As we gear up for yet another packed fall release schedule, here are 13 movies to keep an eye out for.
“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”It’s been over thirty years since Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice” hit theaters. Now, he returns along with original stars Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara for its long-awaited sequel, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.” Jenna Ortega joins the cast as Lydia’s daughter as they return home to Winter River following a death in the family. “Rebel Ridge”“Green Room” director Jeremy Saulnier returns with his latest film, “Rebel Ridge,” for Netflix. The film follows a former Marine who must confront corruption in a small town after local law enforcement unjustly seizes his bail money for his cousin. The dramatic thriller stars Aaron Pierre, Don Johnson, AnnaSophia Robb, David Denman, Emory Cohen, and more. Release Date: Available to stream September 6 on Netflix.
“The Front Room”Brandy stars in the psychological horror film The Front Room, which is the feature film debut of the Eggers Brothers (brothers of director Robert Eggers). The film follows a couple who, after becoming pregnant, must deal with an estranged stepmother. It is based on a short story by Susan Hill and stars Kathryn Hunter, Andrew Burnap, and Neal Huff. Release Date: In theaters September 6 via A24.
“His Three Daughters”Directed by Azazel Jacobs (“French Exit”), “His Three Daughters” stars the all-star trio of Elizabeth Olsen, Natasha Lyonne, and Carrie Coon as three distant sisters. The film follows them as they must reunite in order to care for their sick father while they deal with past familial issues in order to heal. Jasmin Bracey, Jay O. Sanders, and Jovan Adepo also star.
