Fly Me to the Moon
Stream on December 6

Fly Me to the Moon is a romantic comedy-drama set against the backdrop of NASA’s historic Apollo 11 moon landing, which the White House deemed too important a mission to fail. Alongside NASA launch director Cole Davis (Channing Tatum), marketing specialist Kelly Jones (Scarlett Johansson) is tasked with creating a fake moon landing just in case the actual one fails to deliver. With public support for the moon landing at nearly rock bottom, Kelly is initially brought in to spark public interest in the Space Race against the Soviet Union. However, her methods are a bit unconventional and certainly disliked by Cole. She hires actors to portray scientists, including him, brings in corporate sponsorships, and suggests they should broadcast the moon landing using a television camera on the Lunar Excursion Module (LEM).

Unsurprisingly, Kelly and Cole immediately clash about how to proceed with their respective tasks. Nonetheless, the pair begin to develop a mutual respect for one another, ultimately leading to a mutual attraction. Given the high-stakes circumstances surrounding the mission, the countdown truly begins when Kelly is then told to film a fake moon landing as a backup for the Apollo 11 mission. However, Cole views the directive as a slap in the face to what he and his crew have worked so hard for. Stylish and witty, the film also includes performances by Woody Harrelson, Ray Romano, Jim Rash, and Anna Garcia. Fly Me to the Moon is streaming on Dec. 6.
