Bryce Dallas Howard Prepares for War With a ‘House of the Dragon’ Star in a New ‘Deep Cover’ Image [Exclusive]

Apr 12, 2025

After previously being the first to report that the Deep Cover movie was in the works, we are thrilled to debut a new image from the film as part of our Collider’s Exclusive Preview event highlighting the summer’s hottest releases. The new image effectively flexes the muscles of the star-studded cast, showing Jurassic World veteran Bryce Dallas Howard standing with Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon) and Nick Mohammed (Ted Lasso) on either side of her. Deep Cover will be released exclusively on Prime Video on June 12. Orlando Bloom (The Lord of the Rings) has also been set for a role in Deep Cover, along with Ian McShane (John Wick: Chapter 4), Sean Bean (Game of Thrones), and Sonoya Mizuno (House of the Dragon).
Deep Cover is a fast-paced action comedy starring Bryce Dallas Howard as Kat, an improv comedy teacher who is beginning to question if she’s missed her shot at success. When an undercover cop (Bean) offers her the role of a lifetime, she recruits two of her students (Bloom and Mohammed) to infiltrate London’s gangland by impersonating dangerous criminals. The film is rated R and has a runtime of 100 minutes. Deep Cover was first announced exclusively by Collider last February, and Bloom spoke with Steve Weintraub a few months later, praising the cast and also teasing their roles. Empire Magazine released the first official images from the upcoming action comedy in March, and the trailer is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
Who Is Writing and Directing ‘Deep Cover’?

Image via Prime Video

Tom Kingsley has been tapped to direct Deep Cover, with Derek Connolly, Colin Trevorrow, Ben Ashenden, and Alexander Owen all teaming up to write the script. Kingsley most recently directed an episode of the latest season of Doctor Who, and he’s also famous for helming The Darkest Universe, the R-rated romantic comedy/mystery starring Will Sharpe and Joe Thomas. Trevorrow is a veteran scribe who has worked with Bryce Dallas Howard on all three of her Jurassic World movies, and he’s known for penning Taste the Revolution, the 2003 comedy/drama starring Mahershala Ali. Trevorrow will also produce Deep Cover along with Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald.
Deep Cover will be released exclusively on Prime Video on June 12. Check out the exclusive image from the film above, and don’t miss the rest of our exclusive looks from the summer’s hottest releases.
