After three long years of, Love, Death + Robots is back to inject some beautifully unhinged, mind-bending animation into our eyeballs, and Season 4 (or “Volume 4,” as Netflix is calling it) finally has a premiere date and teaser trailer.The teaser offers a taste of what’s to come and it includes dinosaur gladiators, messianic cats, and string-puppet rock stars. It set to premiere on May 15th!The animated anthology series has racked up four Annie Awards and kept the show’s reputation for pushing the boundaries of adult animation very much intact. The series is once again leaning into its signature mix of sci-fi, horror, humor, and hyper-creative animation styles. Every episode is a stand-alone short, created by animation studios from around the globe, each with its own tone, visual language, and thematic punch.Behind the scenes, the creative team include creator Tim Miller, who returns alongside David Fincher, Jennifer Miller, and Joshua Donen as executive producers. And Kung Fu Panda’s Jennifer Yuh Nelson is back as supervising director, overseeing the new batch of 10 shorts. Love, Death + Robots is gearing up to slap us in the face with more genre-melting stories that are sure to be as disturbing, hilarious, and visually stunning as ever. Enjoy the trailer!
