Daniel Radcliffe & Geraldine Viswanathan Are A Married Couple In A ‘Mad Max’-Esque Post-Apocalypse

Dec 18, 2022

“Miracle Workers” is an odd show. And that’s not meant to be an insult. I honestly believe the series aims to become odder and odder with each season, as the show takes on a new setting with each batch of episodes. And the upcoming “Miracle Workers: End Time” might just take the cake for the strangest season yet.
LISTEN: ‘Weird: The Al Yankovic Story’: Daniel Radcliffe & Director Eric Appel On Making a Parody of Music Biopics, Working with Al & More [The Discourse Podcast]
As seen in the trailer for “Miracle Workers: End Times,” the series has once again changed up the setting and is now a post-apocalyptic, “Mad Max”-esque romp. However, you didn’t think this was going to be a straight-up action thriller, right? No, no, no. ‘End Times’ marries the “Mad Max” aesthetic with a traditional sitcom, following a married couple trying to make ends meet in a world where urine purifiers and man-dogs are common. It’s wild.
That said, any questions about whether or not it’s going to be funny is put to rest when you see that all the regulars are returning once again for this new story. Daniel Radcliffe, fresh off of his incredible performance in “Weird” is leading the way with Geraldine Viswanathan, Steve Buscemi, Karan Soni, and Jon Bass. And executive producers/showrunners Dan Mirk and Robert Padnick are steering the ship.
“Miracle Workers: End Times” is set to debut on TBS on January 16. You can watch the new trailer below.
Here’s the synopsis:
Daniel Radcliffe, Steve Buscemi, Geraldine Viswanathan, Karan Soni, and Jon Bass make their return to the top-rated anthology comedy series “Miracle Workers” for the fourth installment set in the post-apocalyptic future. “Miracle Workers: End Times” follows a wasteland warrior (Radcliffe) and ruthless warlord (Viswanathan) as they face the most dystopian nightmare of all: settling down in the suburbs. Together they navigate the existential horrors of married life and small-town living, all under the dubious guidance of a wealthy junk trader (Buscemi). Also starring Jon Bass as the couple’s faithful war dog, and Karan Soni as a kill-bot who loves to party.
