MCU star Charlie Cox
has offered some very exciting news about Daredevil: Born Again
, revealing that Season 2 of the Disney+ show will begin filming far sooner than we thought. During an appearance at FAN EXPO San Francisco, at which he took to the stage with his Daredevil co-star Wilson Bethel, Cox revealed that, not only is Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 going ahead, it will start filming before Season 1 has even been released.

“It’s been so many years since we released any Daredevil content. I’m really excited about it. By the time we release [Born Again] on March 4th, we’ll already be shooting season 2. So it’s just a gift that keeps on giving, really.”

Bringing Daredevil back to screens on Disney+ following its cancellation on Netflix has been a surprisingly difficult task. After Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige was left displeased with what he saw of the project, pretty much everyone was fired and the series was sent back to the drawing board. Daredevil: Born Again was initially going to have a first season comprised of 18 episodes, but after the changes, this was reduced to a more typical nine, with Season 2 no doubt bringing in some of the ideas that would have been in the second half of Season 1. Whatever the case may be, it’s great to know that there’s a lot more Daredevil to come.
‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Will Debut on Disney+ on March 4, 2025

The first, bloody glorious trailer for Daredevil: Born Again has now finally been released. The footage confirms ongoing rumors that the story will take some inspiration from the comic book arc “Mayor Fisk,” which finds New York falling to The Kingpin as he becomes the city’s newly elected mayor. The story finds Matt Murdock working for Fisk, with the Kingpin of Crime using his talent for spin and false philanthropy to wage a war against costumed vigilantes.
While the series will clearly make some major changes to this storyline, what it won’t do is make many changes to how Matt Murdock takes care of business when taking to the streets in a red costume. Blood splatters, bones break, and Daredevil yells as he takes out bad guys in the most violent ways possible, marking a major change to the Marvel and Disney+ projects. And should bode well for the inevitable Punisher Season 3.

Daredevil: Born Again will bring back several familiar faces for this first official adventure in the MCU. The series stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, AKA Daredevil alongside Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, AKA The Kingpin, with the rest of the cast including Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, AKA The Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, and Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, AKA Bullseye, as well as Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, and Genneya Walton. Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2025, as part of Phase Five of the MCU.
