Chucky Season 3 Just Delivered the Show’s Most Tragic Death

Oct 27, 2023

Warning: This Article Contains Spoilers for Chucky Season 3

Summary

Chucky’s latest season takes place in the White House, where he targets the powerful First Family and faces off against a group of determined teenagers. The show’s third season has already delivered shocking deaths, including the murder of the President’s Secretary and a heartbreaking killing of a devoted guardian. Chucky’s reign of terror intensifies as he taunts the teenagers by revealing their guardian’s death and promising a particularly bloody Halloween. Viewers can catch new episodes on Peacock the day after they air on cable.

The third season of Chucky just delivered the show’s most tragic death yet by killing off a major character.

The Syfy and USA Network series Chucky was created and executive produced by franchise creator Don Mancini, who also serves as the slasher’s showrunner and director. Chucky first premiered back in 2021. The series stars Zackary Arthur, Bjorgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Devon Sawa, Michael Therriault, and Alex Vincent. The horror series also features franchise vets like Jennifer Tilly, Fiona Dourif, and Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky.

The show is currently in its third season with new episodes releasing on Wednesdays at 9 PM ET.

The official synopsis for the latest season states, “In Chucky’s unending thirst for power, season 3 now sees Chucky ensconced with the most powerful family in the world – America’s First Family, inside the walls of the White House. How did Chucky wind up here? What in God’s name does he want? And how can Jake, Devon, and Lexy possibly get to Chucky inside the world’s most secure house, all while balancing the pressures of romantic relationships and growing up? Meanwhile, Tiffany faces a looming crisis of her own as the police close in on her for ‘Jennifer Tilly’s’ murderous rampage last season.”

Chucky’s Latest Kill at The White House Is His Most Heartbreaking Murder To Date
USA Network

Though the third season is only two episodes in, the horror series has already delivered one of the show’s most shocking deaths to date. While Chucky had already killed a Secret Service agent this season, the second episode sees the pint-sized murderer killing the President’s Secretary. However, it’s Chucky’s third kill that proved to be seriously shocking to fans of the series.

After realizing that the killer doll is in The White House, Jake, Devon, and Lexi come up with a plan to get inside and stops Chucky’s reign of terror. In order for their plan to succeed, the trio have their guardian Ms. Fairchild take a meeting at The White House to speak with the First Lady on their behalf. While waiting for Mrs. Collins, Ms. Fairchild looks at a photo of Edith Roosevelt, the First Lady to President Theodore Roosevelt. Like, the former First Lady, Ms. Fairchild is devoted to her children, which only makes what happens next even more heartbreaking.

From behind, Chucky wraps an American flag around Ms. Fairchild’s head, stands on her shoulders, and starts to suffocate her. As he kills Ms. Fairchild, the murderous dolls taunts his latest victim by saying, “I just couldn’t resist the thought of making those kids orphans one more time.”

If that wasn’t brutal enough, Chucky also calls Jake, Devon, and Lexi from Ms. Fairchild’s cell phone, revealing their guardian’s death and telling the trio that he’s waiting for them, adding that this Halloween will be the bloodiest yet. Notably, the fourth episode is officially titled “Halloween III: Season of the Witch.”

As with prior seasons, Chucky season 3 will have eight episodes in total, but only half of them will air this year, meaning there’s only two more to go before the show’s hiatus.

Additionally, unlike other seasons, Chucky season 3 will be available to stream the day after its releases on cable, so fans can catch the latest episodes on Peacock on Thursdays. The first two seasons of Chucky are available to watch on Peacock and Shudder.
