Day One,’ ‘Inside Out 2’ & More
Jun 6, 2024
While June — and the summer as a whole — is slightly light on major blockbuster events, plenty of independent and arthouse features are making their way to theaters. “Inside Out 2” is likely the most significant release based on Pixar‘s tried and true strength at the box office, with “A Quiet Place: Day One” being another contender. But elsewhere, there are plenty of exciting and attention-grabbing films getting their theatrical runs.
From plenty of festival favorites from this year and last, such as “Kinds of Kindness,” “Janet Planet,” and “Tuesday,” to first-time horror features with “The Watchers,” new potential year favorites are arriving each week. We’ve yet to hit the full swing of the summer release season, but this seems like a good indicator of how the summer is going to go.
