With one original film tucked in the mix, each movie offers something completely different given their perspective genres. As such, there’s surely something for any movie lover to enjoy. However, everyone will likely be watching one movie in particular that’s headed to the streaming platform next month.

Fans of British period pieces and those who loved comic book adaptations before they were all the rage will be in for a treat. The platform’s original film, Bosco, will likely tug at the heartstrings of viewers while simultaneously making them question the prison system. Additionally, audiences who want a lighthearted romantic comedy with a classic duo will be in luck. Finally, for viewers who want to watch one of the biggest movies of 2023, Oppenheimer is a must-see.

Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice stars Keira Knightly in the adaptation of the beloved 1813 novel of the same name by Jane Austen. One of five sisters in the Bennet family, Elizabeth (Kiera Knightly), lived on her family’s estate in rural England during the late 18th century. As the oldest, she faces continued pressure, particularly from her mother, to marry someone of means despite her wishes to do so for love.

After she meets the brooding and wealthy Mr. Darcy (Matthew Macfadyen), sparks between the two reluctantly ignite. However, Elizabeth’s social status and Mr. Darcy’s naturally reserved nature threaten to interfere with the potential romance neither wants to admit is brewing. An excellent romantic drama, the film is a refreshing, updated adaptation of the famed novel.

The Dark Knight

Released in 2008, the film won Ledger a posthumous Best Supporting Actor Award at the Oscars shortly over a year after his death. Garnered as one of the best performances in all of film history, his portrayal of the Joker brought a new level of complexity and depth to comic book villains. Although it is a movie about Batman, the Joker ultimately steals the show.

Bosco

A Peacock original, Bosco follows Quawntay “Bosco” Adams (Aubrey Joseph), who’s sentenced to 35 years in prison for attempted possession of marijuana. Wanting to see the birth of his first child, Bosco orchestrates a plan to escape with the help of a woman named Tammy (Nikki Blonsky), whom he meets through a lonely-hearts advertisement. Although under 24-hour surveillance, Bosco somehow miraculously escapes from the maximum-security prison. However, his past inevitably catches up with him, forcing him to face the consequences. Based on a true story, the film also stars Thomas Jane, Theo Rossi, and Vivica A. Fox.
