Every Movie Coming to Prime Video in February 2024

Feb 1, 2024

As one of the largest streaming services in the world along with Netflix, Prime Video has over 200 million registered subscribers to entertain, and with its high monthly turnover of flicks, it has certainly been achieving that of late. With a fresh batch of movies ready to hit the streaming platform’s vast catalog come February 2024, with some of those including new, original, and straight out of the oven, it’s set to be another exciting month for Prime users.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at all the films coming to Prime in February 2024…

12 Angry Men (1957)
Stream on Feb. 1

1957’s seminal courtroom drama, Sidney Lumet’s 12 Angry Men, is a timeless classic that still resonates with its audiences poignantly today. Featuring a sensational performance from lead Henry Fonda, 12 Angry Men follows a group of jurors tasked with ascertaining whether a Latino man is guilty of murder.

As Lumet’s best movie, this is a picture that offers an extensive examination of the criminal justice system, the flawed, outdated nature of how the judicial procedure is carried out, and how it is often extremely susceptible to the deeply ingrained prejudice of those presiding over a case. Obscured by ego, preconceived ideologies, racism, and discrepancies in social class, these 12 very stubborn and very angry men’s arguments are very swiftly picked apart by the rationale of Davis.

Get Out (2017)
Stream on Feb. 1
Get Out Release Date February 24, 2017 Runtime 103

Jordan Peele’s ability to fuse disparate genre conventions with cutting social commentary is a true talent and has seen him rise through the ranks to become one of the leading filmmakers of his era. 2017’s Get Out was the director’s feature debut and foreshadowed what would come from the auteur in both style and substance.

The horror-meets-comedy-meets-action movie traverses the tale of Chris (Daniel Kaluuya), who visits his white girlfriend’s family for the weekend in rural Upstate New York. After a warm and welcoming reception from his hosts, it quickly becomes apparent things are not as they seem, with Chris forced to confront the face of depraved, racially-driven evil that are his in-laws.

Annie Hall (1977)
Stream on Feb. 1

Annie Hall is to Woody Allen what The Brothers Karamazov was to Fyodor Dostoevsky; the director’s creative vision comes to the very fore with this artistic ‘70s masterpiece. One of Allen’s best films ever, Annie Hall comprises all the quirky traits we’ve come to associate with the Manhattan director over the years, with its fanciful, flawed characters, who have a slight disconnect from the real world and this lifelong love for New York City. The film follows the story of a divorced, hopeless romantic, Alvy Singer (Allen), who reflects on his relationship with nightclub singer Annie Hall (Diane Keaton).

I Am Not Your Negro (2016)
Stream on Feb. 1

With the fight for racial equality still a prominent issue in 21st-century society, 2016’s seriously timely documentary based on James Baldwin’s incomplete manuscript Remember This House serves as a history lesson in racial matters and the civil rights movement in the United States. Interwoven in the narrative are the assassinations of several pivotal figures involved in this fight for racial equality and the urgent calls for reform in political and social affairs. Narrated in the dulcet tones of Samuel L. Jackson, I Am Not Your Negro is a moving, informative, and incredibly important piece of filmmaking and is one of the best documentaries about racism.

Daniel Day-Lewis would record his first Academy Award for Best Actor in Jim Sheridan’s 1989 biographical comedy-drama My Left Foot. Adapted from the 1954 memoir of the same name, the film traverses the story of Christy Brown, an Irishman diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, a condition that severely impedes his ability to function physically, and as such, he is forced to use his only working limb; his left foot, in order to write and paint. This is a story of a man who locates color, expression, and happiness in hardship and whose dedication to finding a solution to his troubles is a testament to his inherent ability to adapt.

Upgraded (2024)
Stream on Feb. 9

After directing 2021’s fantasy-horror, The Blazing World, Carlson Young returns to the directorial reins for 2024’s Upgraded. It is a film that traverses the story of Ana, a young woman with aspirations of making a career out of her artistic prowess. While on a business trip to London, Ana has a chance encounter with a charming Englishman, William.

As the pair express their interest in one another, Ana must go to extreme lengths to conceal the “Hannah Montana” double life she’s leading. Starring The Perfect Date’s Camila Mendes in the leading role and Shadow and Bone star Archie Renaux, the film is perfectly poised to be a solid rom-com and a decent addition to Prime Video’s catalog.

This is Me… Now: A Love Story (2024)
Stream on Feb. 16

Scheduled to coincide with the release of her new studio album, J.Lo’s This is Me… Now: A Love Story is set to offer a cryptic reimagining of the pop icon’s love life and her experience of being in the public eye. Directed by David Meyers, the Grammy Award-winning music video director, this Prime original movie takes a dramatized deep dive into an alternative romantic past, her troubled relationship with fame, and her wish to be left alone by the tabloid press. This Prime Video original is poised to be a kind of plea to the media regarding their persistent harassment and immense scrutiny of her private life.
