Fifth & Final Season Of Popular Serial Killer Series Drops April 24 On Netflix
Mar 10, 2025
The hit serial killer series “YOU” is coming to an end next month and Netflix has released a full trailer showcasing new footage from the new episodes. Following the life of a fictionalized serial killer, Joe, who operates out of New York City the show (based on the novels by Caroline Kepnes) was co-created by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble.
This final season picks up three years later and reveals that Joe (Penn Badgley) hasn’t killed anyone since audiences last saw him. Instead, of killing Joe has been focused on raising Henry, the son he had with his ex-wife Love (Victoria Pedretti), and helping Kate (Charlotte Ritchie) steer the Lockwood Corporation in a more charitable direction as we see other family members among the cast of characters.

“YOU” has a supporting cast that features Madeline Brewer as Bronte, Anna Camp (“Pitch Perfect”) taking dual roles as Reagan and her twin sister Maddie Lockwood, Pete Ploszek as Reagan’s husband Harrison, and Griffin Matthew as Kate’s brother Teddy Lockwood.
A synopsis for the final season comes to us from Netflix and reads:
Based on the novels by Caroline Kepnes, “YOU” centers on Joe, a book-loving hopeless romantic with a penchant for stalking and killing the women he (claims) to love, as well as anyone who gets in his way. While Joe’s search for The One began in New York (pour one out for Guinevere Beck), it took him to Los Angeles in Season 2, then to the suffocating suburbs of San Francisco in Season 3 (RIP Love Quinn), and then to London in Season 4. Across the pond, the genre-hopping drama threw Joe into a 1%-skewering whodunit that forced him finally to accept he’s not a good man — an undeniable truth he avoided for far too long as bodies piled up around him. At the season’s conclusion, Joe returned to New York City with his wealthy partner Kate and a new lease on life … or so it seems.
