Joe Bradley and Maddi Reese from Southern Hospitality have been through many ups and downs while being on the show. Whether it was with their friendships in the group or their romantic relationships, they would always come back to one another because they valued the friendship between the two. Viewers and the cast have always known that Joe had feelings for Maddi and, for a shocker, during Season 3 of the show, everyone will get to see their romantic relationship evolve as they have made it official between the two. It was a long time coming, but these lovebirds are shooting their shot to see if they are a couple that is meant to be. Maddi went through a very toxic relationship at the start of Southern Hospitality, so being able to see her in a different relationship will give the viewers a chance to see another side of her.
Both of them have been at odds with the group from time to time, but they told Collider that for this season the friendship dynamics will be different, and they are not at the center of the drama for once. Maddi’s friendship with co-star Bradley Carter has evolved, but she knows that even though they can be friends again, some things will not be forgotten. In shocking events, Joe Bradley and his ex-best friend TJ Dinch have gone through a falling out, and they say he may be the one to answer to the most during the reunion. With so many friendship dynamics shifting, viewers will have the opportunity to see how things in life can change so quickly and alliances will always change.

“I feel like there’s no one I trusted more on like a relationship level or a friendship level than Joe.”

In true reality TV form, there is always a couple that can be seen by viewers and even the cast as a “will they, will they not date” situation. In Charleston, South Carolina it’s no different as Joe Bradley and Maddi Reese from Southern Hospitality have been shipped together since the start of the show, but because life sometimes has other plans, they kept their relationship as friends since Maddi was in a long-term relationship — or so they thought. Joe and Maddi surprised viewers by making their relationship public for Season 3 of the show, and it was something that nobody expected to happen. While speaking to Collider, Maddi explained what changed, for her to finally make it official with Joe, “I feel like I got out of my relationship, and you know, I sat with that for a little while, and then I wanted to put myself out there, and I feel like there’s no one I trusted more on like a relationship level or a friendship level than Joe. I feel like it was a risk that I took, and I feel like it ended up being worth it.”
On the other hand, viewers already knew that Joe had feelings for Maddi for a long time, as he told her during their first season of the show. Joe said he was scared at the beginning of their relationship. “It was scary, you know, we were best friends for four years and, even though I had feelings for her more than she had feelings for me, I knew we had something special, and I think timing was really the biggest factor, and I am a pretty impatient person, but I kind of like took a step back and realized I’m not going anywhere as her best friend, so I need to give her time to heal and make this decision on our own.” Thankfully with the time he gave to Maddi, she realized their relationship could work as they have a great friendship foundation.
Maddi and Joe Will Not be in the Hot Seat for Once

Maddi and Joe step back from drama this season, while Will and TJ face major questions about their actions.

Since the start of the show, Maddi and Joe have been involved in drama within the group, whether it’s through their past relationships or their involvement in the drama within the group. This time around, they would not be at the center of the drama, as Joe tells Collider that someone else will have a lot to answer at their reunion. “I would say Will, just because, like a lot of things, are, unanswered, and we can’t give a lot away from that, but yeah, Will.” From this season, viewers have seen that Will Kulp will be at the center since there have been rumors swirling about him being unfaithful to his girlfriend Emmy Sharrett, and with only a few words from Joe, it brings up the question of if the rumors are true or not.
Besides saying Will would have a lot to answer, he also said TJ would be in the hot seat, “I think TJ also, he’s really involved himself in a lot this season too.” It does not come as a surprise that he mentions TJ because they had a big falling out at the end of Season 2 when TJ revealed that Joe had hooked up with Real Housewives of New York City alum, Luann De Lesseps while he was in a relationship with Summer House’s Danielle Olivera. It will be interesting to see whether TJ and Joe can fix their differences because they were very close friends at the beginning of the show.
This season is already showing up to be one for the books thanks to the cast members understanding the assignment of showing their real lives unfiltered, and it shapes up to be a great season. Southern Hospitality releases every Thursday on Bravo and the next day on Peacock.
