Kit Harington Joins The Cast Of HBO’s Drama Series For Season 3

Apr 5, 2023

Since the end of “Game of Thrones” in 2019, star Kit Harington has clearly been very particular with what projects he signs on to do. It makes sense, as his time of ‘Thrones’ dominated his work schedule for years, so now he just wants to do projects that seem worth the time. Of course, the big highlight of that post-‘Thrones’ life has been Marvel’s “Eternals,” but he’s also shown up in series such as “Extrapolations” and “Modern Love,” as well as the film, “Baby Ruby.” Well, it appears he’s heading back to HBO for his next project, but it’s not the “Snow” sequel series fans have been hoping for.

According to Deadline, Kit Harington is set to join the cast of “Industry” for its upcoming Season 3. In the series, which focuses on young professionals in the financial industry in the U.K., Harington is set to recur as Henry Muck, the CEO and Founder of Lumi, an energy company that is about to go public. Production on Season 3 is expected to begin this month.
“Industry” is co-created and produced by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay. The series has earned critical acclaim for HBO, but it has yet to fully break through with massive viewership on the scale of something like “Succession.” The series stars Marisa Abela, Mark Dexter, Myha’la Herrold, David Jonsson, Harry Lawtey, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, and Conor MacNeill.

As mentioned, this might not be the HBO series from Harington that fans of ‘Thrones’ are hoping for. It was revealed, last June, that the actor was working with HBO to develop a series, titled “Snow,” which would pick up on the life of Jon Snow after the events of “Game of Thrones.” It was later confirmed to be a real thing by ‘Thrones’ actor Emilia Clarke, as well as creator George R.R. Martin. But it has yet to be officially given the go-ahead from HBO, so it’s unclear when/if it’ll happen.
With production starting on “Industry” Season 3 beginning this month, it’s highly likely we’ll see the show debut sometime in the latter half of this year.
