Netflix Breaks Show’s Final Season Into Three Parts, Part 1 Premieres This Summer

All good things come to an end, but in the case of “Cobra Kai,” Netflix wants to make the goodbye last as long as possible. The streamer announced today that their popular series’ sixth and final season will premiere in three parts, with the first arriving this summer. Is this a sign of things to come for “Stranger Things” Season 5? Count on it, as that’s another farewell Netflix will milk for all its worth.

Part 1 of “Cobra Kai” arrives on July 18, with Part 2 premiering on November 28. Meanwhile, Part 3, deemed “The Finale Event,” won’t hit the streamer until 2025. Given the stretch between Parts 1 and 2, expect it The Finale Event to premiere on Netflix in late April.

Picking up with Cobra Kai eliminated from the Valley, our senseis and students must decide if and how they will compete in the Sekai Taikai — the world championships of karate.
“Cobra Kai” stars Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Martin Kove, Xolo Maridueña, Jacob Bertrand, and Mary Mouser. Tanner Buchanan, Peyton List, Gianni DeCenzo, Courtney Henggeler, Vanessa Rubio, and Dallas Dupree Young also star. Yuji Okumoto, Alicia Hannah-Kim, Griffin Santopietro, and Oona O’Brien round out the main cast.
Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg write and executive produce “Cobra Kai” through Counterbalance Entertainment. Will Smith, Jamie Lassiter, and Caleeb Pinkett also executive produce the series through Westbrook Entertainment. Susan Ekins executive produces through Sony Pictures Televsion. Macchio and Zabka also serve as executive producers.
