New HBO Comedy Special Arrives March 23

Mar 6, 2024

In some ways, it’s been a pretty great 12 months for Ramy Youssef. Last spring he won his first Peabody Award as the co-creator and executive producer of Netflix‘s “Mo” and this winter he could be found on the big screen alongside Emma Stone in the global box office hit and Oscar-nominated “Poor Things.” As an Egyptian-American, however, he’s been vocal about his frustration with the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and, it appears that may partially be the subject matter of his new HBO comedy special, “Ramy Youssef: More Feelings” which dropped its first trailer today.

According to a release from HBO, this new special, which debuts on March 23, finds Yousseef returning “to the stage to offer his unique reflections on our divided world, the unexpected perils of charitable giving, and more.”
Nina Rosenstein, EVP, HBO Programming, Late Night & Specials, remarked, “Ramy is endlessly talented, and working with him on his second HBO special means the world to us. ‘More Feelings’ is both deeply personal and intensely funny, and his undeniable charisma shines throughout this brilliant performance. We’re so happy that Chris Storer could partner with Ramy again. His direction brings a beautiful intimacy to the production.”
Best known for his landmark Hulu series “Ramy,” the New Jersey native most recently appeared on the big screen in Yorgos Lanthimos‘ “Poor Things.” He also earned his first DGA Award nomination earlier this year for directing an episode of FX’s Emmy-winning “The Bear.” His first comedy special, the aforementioned “Ramy Youssef: Feelings,” earned him a WGA Award nomination in 2020.
“Ramy Youssef: More Feelings” will premiere on Saturday, March 23 at 10:00 PM ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.
