As seen in the trailer for the new Netflix series, “Beef” tells the story of two disparate people who come together after they get almost get involved in an accident with each other. What starts as a simple misunderstanding and a close call turns into a serious vendetta, as these two people make it their goal to ruin the life of the other person. Somehow, hilarity ensues.
The series stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, as the two people with, uh, beef. Lee Sung Jin, who is known for series such as “Dave” and “Silicon Valley,” is the creator of the show. Interestingly, “Beef” is (mostly) directed by Jake Schreier, who recently was brought on to direct “Thunderbolts.” That Marvel Studios film also brought in Steven Yeun to play a major role, which you have to assume stems from the time Schreier and he worked together in this show.
