‘Suits LA’ Is Bringing Back David Costabile as Daniel Hardman
Mar 23, 2025
Suits LA continues its appearance of original Suits characters in reunion style. Everyone’s favorite former Pearson Hardman partner is making a return. David Costabile’s Daniel Hardman is set to appear in the newly-premiered spin-off series on NBC. Costabile will be a guest star in one of the upcoming episodes, but it’s not clear which one — keeping viewers of the American Legal Drama curious to see when he will pop up. The actor is one of a few alumni to appear on Suits LA, following Gabriel Macht and Rick Hoffman. In the original series, Costabile’s character was a bit of a problem for Harvey Specter, played by Gabriel Macht, and Jessica Pearson, portrayed by Gina Torres.
In Suits, Daniel Hardman was a partner at Pearson Hardman. That is, until he was forced to leave the firm after everyone found out he was using money to fund an affair. Hardman threw away all of his hard work because he just had to have an affair. He claimed that he was using the money to help take care of his dying wife, but the truth came out eventually. You’d think that was the end, but for Hardman he wasn’t going down (even more) without a fight. The character appeared throughout the series’ run to regain access to the firm, eventually becoming a problem for Harvey and Jessica.

Episode 4 of ‘Suits LA’ finally shows fans how Harvey Specter and Ted Black know each other.
While Hardman is one of Costabile’s most known roles, his resume is full of characters in a variety of genres in both television shows and movies. From parts in popular TV dramas such as The Wire, Breaking Bad, and Billions, a successful drama without Costabile seems almost non-existent. When he’s not on the small screen, fans can see him gracing the big screen in movies like Lincoln, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi and Runner Runner, just to name a few.
‘Suits LA’ Is Ringing In Almost 5 Million Viewers Per Episode
NBC
Sometimes, a spinoff doesn’t have the success the original series had. However, Suits LA has found a way to keep things entertaining, as the series is bringing in approximately 4.8 million viewers per episode on NBC and digital platforms with only three episodes that have aired so far. It debuted on the network on February 23, 2025, with fans eager to see Ted Black’s, played by Stephen Amell, reinvention.
Black is a former New York prosecutor who is using his move to Los Angeles to represent powerful clients, as a power move. Yet, his firm is in a tough position and he, as well as the talented team of attorneys he’s surrounded by, must work together to fix things. While he struggles with the events happening in his current life, past problems haunt Ted, and he must find a way to come to terms with the life he left behind.
