Who Does Sienna End up with in Perfect Addiction?

Aug 14, 2024

Perfect Addiction is a story that has two prongs: guys and mixed martial arts, or MMA. These are the two main things that occupy the main character Sienna’s (Kiana Madeira) mind, and the two things the movie concerns itself with.

See, Sienna is fantastic at training MMA fighters, and her latest prospect, Jax (Matthew Noszka), is the best her gym has ever seen. Things go so well with Jax that not only does Sienna train him, she becomes his lover as well. That is until she walks in on Jax having sex with her younger sister Beth (Bree Winslow). Suddenly, Sienna is out a sister and a boyfriend, and that’s just in the first seven minutes of the movie.

So if she doesn’t end up with Jax, who does she end up with? Let’s take a look.

What Is Perfect Addiction About?

Perfect Addiction is the story of what Sienna does after she breaks up with Jax. While Jax keeps trying to get back together with Sienna despite continuing to sleep with her sister, Sienna isn’t interested. Then she hears about his fight in the underground against Kayden Williams (Ross Butler). She goes to see it, hoping Jax’ll get a taste of his own medicine. However, the fight is broken up by the police before its conclusion, and Sienna flees.

The next day, she approaches Kayden and manages to get him to agree to let her train him for his rematch with Jax, in exchange for letting her stay in his apartment. While she keeps things professional at first, things eventually take a turn for the romantic. After all, how could they not when Sienna and Kayden are working together so closely? But Jax is constantly on Sienna’s mind, as is his opinion that she couldn’t be an MMA fighter. But Kayden sees things differently, telling her she can fight for whatever cause she sees as important, both inside and outside the MMA cage.

They go to the owner of Sienna’s gym, a respected mixed martial artist, Julian (Manu Bennett), for extra help. Even though Julian has issues with the underground, he supports Sienna, so he agrees to help them win Kayden’s newly scheduled fight with Jax.

How Does Perfect Addiction End?

The day before the fight, Sienna’s friend Brent (Nicholas Duvernay) has his wedding. Sienna goes with Kayden, but when Sienna goes to the bathroom, Jax is there, trying once again to get back with her. Kayden comes in and Jax tells him Sienna’s just using him to get back at him. Kayden starts to walk away when Jax sheds some light on Kayden’s elusive past: Kayden killed his mother. Kayden takes the bait and, suddenly, the two are having an all-out brawl in the middle of the wedding. Kayden gets hit by a chair and walks out of the reception.

Sienna follows him, telling him that while Jax may not know anything about him, she doesn’t either. Then Kayden tells her the truth: When he was in high school, his mother left work to pick him up because he was drunk at a party, and she was hit and killed by a drunk driver. But he doesn’t want her pity, even though he has at least one broken rib. Instead, he provokes a fight with her. He tells her he’s going to get through the fight with Jax on his own and storms out.

The next day, the day of Kayden and Jax’s fight, Sienna looks like she isn’t going to go, so Julien goes despite being against the underground. Sienna shows up as the fight starts and shouts words of encouragement at Kayden despite their uncertain status. Kayden ends up winning the fight by knockout. However, as Sienna goes to kiss Kayden, Jax wakes up and, in trying to punch Kayden, punches Sienna, knocking her unconscious.

So Who Does Sienna End Up With Already?

Well, she definitely doesn’t end up with Jax. As for whether she ends up with Kayden, the movie is inconclusive, but she probably continues her romance with him. While they seem to have gotten back together at the end of the fight, afterward, during the three days that Sienna is unconscious, Kayden decides that he can’t stay and make her stand in his shadow any longer. By the time Sienna wakes up, Kayden is gone and Sienna, despite her heartbreak, has a new mission: learn to fight for herself.

Then one day, when Sienna is sparring with Julian in the gym, Kayden comes in. Kayden tells her he figured she’d be better off if he wasn’t there messing things up for her. Sienna doesn’t accept this, and Kayden acknowledges he did things in the wrong way. He tells her he’s sorry and he loves her. He then turns to walk away when Sienna stops him. She tells him she was mad at him at first but recognizes that she was just holding onto her anger. Kayden opens up to her more, telling her he isn’t taking underground fights anymore, and he’s applying to school for the fall.

Julian interrupts them, thanking Kayden for keeping the lights on in the gym despite Kayden’s last fight being nothing Julian wanted credit for. Then Sienna asks if it would help if the gym had a champion. Julian asks if Kayden is thinking of turning pro and Sienna corrects him; it’s not Kayden that will fight but her. This leads to a brief shot of Sienna training with Kayden as Julian looks on — and then the movie cuts to black.

So, although it’s very likely Sienna did end up with Kayden, it wasn’t the movie’s priority to show it. Instead, she’s shown training, making it seem like the Jax-Sienna-Kayden love triangle was beside the point. That would have had more impact if the movie had put Sienna’s confusion over fighting front and center. In the end, Sienna’s fighting is more important than her romances, even if it was the other way around for the majority of the movie. Stream on Prime Video.
